2. Filling the frame with the subject equals immediate impact as long as your subject is interesting. For still life, subjects with texture is very attractive, for human subjects capturing expressions and emotions create dramatic photos.
3. Highlight the story. When you eliminate unnecessary elements in the photograph you make it easier for viewers to understand what you want to say in your photograph. In the example below I took out the boat to make sure that the focus is on the child.
